From the vast, palatial central lobby to the Sunset Bar overlooking the Mekong River, the Grand offers a wide range of choices of drinks and superb Thai, Lao and International cuisines. Le Bistrot Lounge bar, with 75 seats, stages music and karaoke performances in the centre of the hotel. Open every evening, the attentive staff serves cocktails, wines and Lao beer as well as fine Lao coffee. The Sunset Bar has 30 seats giving stunning views overlooking the Mekong River, and is open from 1pm to 7pm. The elegant silver service Xiengkeo Restaurant, with 110 seats, is open from morning until evening for breakfasts, light and full meals. Guests can choose to dine indoors in the air conditioned restaurant or outdoors on the terrace. For select occasions, guests can arrange Executive Private Dining from 2 to 55 people in special Mekong rooms, adapting the menu style and cuisine to their own taste. Functions and banquets, with Lao traditional dancing and Baci ceremonies, can be arranged on request. Prince Phetsarath’s riverside residence was historically accessed by boat from the Mekong River. Continuing this tradition, the Grand Hotel’s luxury Xiengkeo Boat can be hired by guests to cruise in timeless style to riverside attractions such as Pak Ou caves. From October to March, guests can dine onboard in an incomparable atmosphere of romance and elegance. Business facilities, meetings and conferences can be customised in two well-equipped meeting rooms to suit the business guests’ needs.
