| Birdsong and butterflies abound in Riverside Bungalows’ well kept grounds. You can splash into the river for a swim, wade across to nearby riverside bars or just relax on loungers and watch river life go by. The Lao style bungalows are about 5 minutes walk along small lanes from Vang Vieng’s main street or by island hopping along the riverside in the dry season.
Bungalow with air-con: Air conditioned rooms are in white painted wooden houses, built on stilts and surrounded by flowers and butterflies. The large balcony gives a lovely view over the garden to the river and mountains, looking towards the sunset. Each room has wooden furnishings and floors, simple decoration and a tiled bathroom.
Bungalow with fan: Traditionally built Lao bungalows provide a quiet rural retreat. Built on stilts from wood and bamboo, they nestle beneath the trees. Each airy bungalow is furnished in wood with a tiled bathroom and a verandah to the front and back - ideal for views of the limestone peaks, rice fields and over to the high eastern mountains.
Hut with fan: The basic huts built on stilts in a simple, rustic style are in a lovely setting. The verandah facing the river has a mountain and garden view. Furnished with a double mattress and mosquito net, each of the six huts share a nearby bathroom and shower block.
